10 Different Words to Call Someone ‘AN IDIOT’

How often you become upset with someone so deeply that you wish to call them IDIOT at least ten times over? Well, here is a list of words you can use instead of idioting him/her repeatedly …

Wait, before that, won’t you be interested in how the word ‘Idiot’ came into English? Well, here is how …

The word “idiot” comes from the Greek word “idiotes” (ἰδιώτης), which originally referred to someone who was a private citizen, as opposed to a public figure or official. In ancient Greece, being involved in public affairs was highly valued, so someone who kept to themselves and did not participate in public life was seen as lacking in intelligence or social skills.

Over time, the meaning of “idiotes” shifted to refer more specifically to someone who was uneducated, ignorant, or foolish. This sense of the word was adopted into Latin as “idiota,” which was then borrowed into English as “idiot” in the 14th century.

Well, well, well, now then, would you call yourself a private person? mm? No, I wouldn’t call myself that — and oh! So, everything is public! … now back to those ten words that mean ‘Idiot’.

1. Fool – One who acts without thinking, and so whatever they do gives a negative result – You’re a fool if you think you can get away with cheating on an exam.

3. Simpleton – A person who is easily cheatable – He’s a simpleton for believing that his new boss will double his salary within a week.
